This is the sum of four basic units now.

The verdict was delivered by the judge of Tsentralny district of Minsk, Tatsyana Motyl, Radio Svaboda reports.

A dweller of the town of Lida, Artur Zhuk, a young employee of Minsk Wheeled Tractor Plant, stood trial for use of foul language during the rally on October 11. After the trial a family member of the activist, who was present during the proceedings, prohibited him to talk to journalists.

“I said several rude words, I admitted that. Moreover, it was captured on a video,” Artur Zhuk said before the trial. – I do not know what will happen next. I am told at work: “Continue to work, everything is alright.” But I am invited for some negotiations almost every day, I am asked, what, how, I am hinted that that my labour contract is unlikely to be prolonged. My friends and acquaintances are worrying, they are disturbed.

I said the things many people wanted to express. I certainly exaggerated a little, and used indecent words, but I told outright what I thought, and now I think the same. There were no politicians at the rally, but they are not needed in general: everything should be in people’s heads, and then something could happen.”
