Petro Poroshenko dismisses Ihor Kolomoisky

The president of Ukraine the accepted resignation of Ihor Kolomoisky as governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Petro Poroshenko signed such an order during a meeting with Kolomoisky, charter97.org learnt from the press service of the Ukrainian president.

Petro Poporshenko noted that the Dnipropetrovsk region must remain a bastion in Ukraine's east. “We must ensure peace, stability and calm. The Dnipropetrovsk region should remain a bastion in Ukraine's east to defend the peace and calm of people,” he said.

Valentyn Reznichenko will be appointed acting governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
