Belarus Tried To Derail UN Vote On Crimea

The stab in the back was born, given that the attempt of the Belarusian “Russian world” fans was failed.

Crimean Tatar reporter Emine Dzheppar said that Belarusian representatives tried to disrupt the vote on the draft resolution on Russia’s human rights violations in the illegally annexed Crimea in the Committee of the UN General Assembly, which considers human rights issues, Dialog.UA writes.

Dzheppar released this information on her Facebook account.

The Ukrainian mission to the UN , headed by Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Vladimir Elchenko, reacted very strongly to such behavior of the Belarusians. Vladimir Elchenko indignantly wrote in his Twitter addressing to the Belarusian colleagues: “That’s the friends of ours.”

Later he wrote that the stab in the back was born, given that the attempt of the Belarusian “Russian world” fans was failed.

According to media reports, the resolution is intended to condemn the massive violation of human rights in the Crimea, and it lays down demands for the Kremlin, as an occupier, to fulfill the obligations, required by the international law.

Earlier it was reported that the United Nations would consider a resolution on human rights violations in the occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
