All the witnesses were interviewed and all the materials of the case were studied during this time.

Press Service of BCD said this to charter97.org.

The trial of the co-chairman of the organizing committee of the party Belarusian Christian Democracy Vital Rymasheuski that was held on April 28, lasted for 7 minutes.

Vital Rymasheuski was accused of talking to people near "Kastrychnik" cinema during the action on Freedom Day that was authorized by the authorities.

“It is outrageous that the participants of the authorized peaceful action are tried only because they have gathered near the cinema. This is unprecedented, this hasn’t happened even before! Repressions in Belarus have begun to take a new turn; they are gaining intensity and has changed their form. People are not jailed, but they are fined en mass. Apart from the financial burden, people and their families are also put under psychological pressure. That’s how the current regime reacts to lifting of sanctions and the desire of the West to start a dialogue, spitting upon all the democratic norms and values and trying to destroy the independent democratic movement”, – the co-chairman of BCD emphasized.
