Russia may increase pressure on Belarus in the result of report on Russia's guilt in Malaysian aircraft crash in Ukraine.

Director of the Center for Strategic and Foreign Policy Studies Arseniy Sivitsky informed krynica.info.

It will be recalled that the international investigation team informed relatives of the victims of a Malaysian aircraft crash in Ukraine that it had been hit by a missile fired from Snezhnoye village. Snezhnoye was under control (as well as now) of pro-Russian separatists of the self-appointed DPR. According to investigators, the Buk missile system the aircraft was shot down from was delivered from Russia.

"Most likely, the results of the criminal investigation will have international legal consequences for the Russian Federation. Names of those guilty in the aircraft crash have not been voiced yet. But it is clear that we are talking about 100 persons who were identified by bellingcat group, It blames the crew of the Buk missile system and the top military-political leadership of the Russian Federation, including President Vladimir Putin and Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu" Arseniy Sivitsky noted.

In that case, he says, it turns out that Russia is not only supported and provided illegal armed groups and terrorist organizations with weapons, and in fact was behind the terrorist act.

"If it is proven by the international commission, it is logical that the pressure on Russia will increase. It is possible that talks on introducing sanctions at the international level, even Russia's status in the UN Security Council will raise questions about", Arseniy Sivitsky added.

According to him, the stronger the pressure on Russia by the West, the more aggressive it behaves not only in the international arena, but in all the post-Soviet space.

"Moreover, Russia now has found itself in the situation when it can be easily isolated. Belarus, on the contrary, very quickly mends ties with the West. And the Kremlin strategists are very sensitive to the situation, it is obvious that it will reduce Russia's influence on Belarus in the medium term, and may even reverse Belarus from Russia. So I think that under the circumstances Moscow will act tougher with respect to Minsk, so as not to lose the impact on our country. And here we, unfortunately, have to consider the most incredible variants including forceful one," the director of the Center for Strategic and Foreign Policy Studies concluded.
