Yury Khashchevatsky: Lukashenka Built a "Shelter"

The dictator increasingly turns into Ellochka-cannibal - a character of Ilf and Petrov novel.

Notorious Belarusian film director Yury Khashchevatsky told charter97.org when answering why the dictator needed the 17th residence in Shershuny village, Minsk region:

- First, Lukashenka prepares places for him to hide. Second, when a person coming from a poor family finds himself "on top" he grabs more and more. This is "being hungry". Have you ever seen how a hungry person eats? This hunger Aliaksandr Lukashenka has failed to satisfy for 23 years. He keeps starving.

On the other hand, he might think that all these residences are necessary. 17 of them and let us guess where he hides when people take the streets.

Lukashenka hopes that he will not be found at once and he builds "shelters" and residences to mark time till things go better.

Here is other moment - Ilf and Pertov have other character - Ellochka-cannibal who competed in a number of clothes with Vanderbild's daughter (Vanderbild - a billionaire). This is the way Lukashenka competes with Putin. He needs to prove himself that he is "of the same cut of cloth".

He believes that "big brother" from the East once robbed him and took his place on the Russian throne he wanted. This is all his reasons why, although he has poor possibilities, he just scrapes the bottom of the barrel after Putin.

But it was enough to build the 17th residency. In the course of time all of them will be owned by the Belarusian people and used as orphanages or resorts, but not for rulers.

- A fugitive ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich got 14 residences and it did not help him...

- And Lukashenka being scared of the story has 17 of them... He has decided there should be more of them.

Apparently, Lukashenka has long studied Lenin works on "transformation of quantity into quality". And now he hopes that the quantity of residences turns into quality: if he has more residences than Yanukovich used to have, he will be able to hide from the people. This scenario failed with Yanukovich - it means the more residences, the better.

Second, Yanukovich's power lasted not for long - less than two terms - unlike Lukashenka's. It means there are more gold batons that should be stored somewhere. And he builds residences in order not to put all eggs in one basket.

He is just an ordinary guy from a public farm and his way of thinking is simple - the more residences, the easier to hide a gold baton.

But it will not help Lukashenka. Now he is making a "tunnel to escape" - his last residence is registered on a Cyprus company. I think this is an ordinary "offshore company" that welcomes money of Lukashenka and his "moneybags". He tries to redeem his maturity for no one could bother him.

But it won't help the dictator; there is a great number of people who want to hold him liable. They are wives of gone missing politicians, people imprisoned for nothing. And how many people he deprived of lives and possibilities...

He will have to take his medicine.
