The Embassy of Belarus avoids an answer about the reason for the detention of the Ukrainian journalist.
The head of the National Public Television and Radio Company of Ukraine Zurab Alasania said that the Belarusian Embassy dodges the question about the detention of Ukrainian journalist Pavel Sharoiko.
The head of the National Public Television and Radio Company of Ukraine Zurab Alasania wrote it on Facebook.
"There is still no formal replies on the part of the Belarusian Embassy. According to our own unofficial information in Belarus, he is charged with "espionage".
The Ukrainian Radio informs that Pavel Sharoiko has not been in touch for about two weeks, all attempts of the editorial office and his relatives to get through to him did not work, e-mails and messages of the editorial staff got no reply.
Colleagues of Pavel Sharoiko said that his last materials related to negotiations of the trilateral group on Ukraine and the search for the Ukrainian citizen Pavel Grib who had disappeared in Homel.
It is reported that some Ukrainian journalists working in Minsk were also searched the day before - it is possible it is connected with the Sharoiko case.
"We do not comment on the situation," the head of the press-service of the KGB Dzmitry Pabyarzhyn told tut.by.
