Laureates Of Belarusian HR Community Award Announced

The winners of the nominations Human Rights Defender of the Year, Journalist of the Year and the Best Human Rights Initiative have been called.

The laureates of the Belarusian Human Rights Community Award have been announced. The solemn ceremony took place on December 8 in the Minsk bookstore Lohvinau. There were three nominations: Human Rights Defender of the Year, Journalist of the Year and the Best Human Rights Initiative, Euroradio writes.

Director of the Belarusian Documentary Center Raisa Mikhailouskaya has become the Human Rights Defender of the Year; Halina Abakunchyk from the Radio Liberty has become the Journalist of the Year (for the “protection of the human rights values”); and By_Help has become the Best Human Rights Initiative (Yulia Darashkevich received the award).
