The trial of Andrei Valkavytski who hit a woman at pedestrian crossings near Darevo village continues in Lyakhavichy.

State prosecutor called the case an extraordinary one, because the acting head of the traffic police, not an ordinary officer, is tried, intex-press.by writes.

According to the prosecutor, Andrei Valkavytski knew about officers on the road and knew that his colleagues would not stop him. "However, the girl who died made him stop. The defendant was distracted from the road, because was heavily drunk and it did not allow him to stop in time".

The state prosecutor added that interrogated employees of the Lyakhavichy traffic police confirmed that the accused was heavily drunk. Expert studies prove it.

The prosecutor asked court to find Valkavytski guilty under part 4, Article 317 and sentence him to 5 years in the penal settlement and to pay compensation to the victim. Preadjudication detention is asked to be included in the term.

According to the prosecutor, mitigating circumstance is a plenary recognition of guilt and children of Valkavytski. Aggravating circumstance is grave violation of traffic rules.
