Ski Pole Can't Close a Hole in a Boat

Decree on "spongers", nutty as a fruitcake, will surely be abolished.

Let's read an article in a district newspaper and reflect on utterances of adherents to Decree No. 3.

1. "People of an employment age must work and pay taxes!" Must work? Or do they have the right to work? What does the Constitution say? Okay. "To work and to pay taxes." Work comes first and then taxes. Not vice-versa! It is clear that not everyone can become a businessman and especially a really successful one that the authorities express loyalty to. But even a big businessman can have a wife who does not work but does household chores to let her husband earn for the family (!). Is she a sponger? One can be foxy and hire her in the company and keep running business. The state will swallow it. It is just an example, and there are thousands of them.

2. Hard-working pensioners. Will it be "fair" to grant pensions according to the new law, won't it? Maybe if the service in the army, child-care leave is not taken into account, the labour experience will be not enough to have a pension for those who have successfully slipped past the law. And those who have preferential pensions must work because they are too young to be pensioners! They will become an additional working power to raise the economy of the country! It will cause savings in the Pension Fund! And the number of spongers will increase! People can't really be blamed for being born a year later or the fact that there has not been a natural shift of power over 23 years, as well as endless laws and taxes. Why do citizens of this country have to be responsible for stupid taxes and laws then?

3. Another opinion: "Many people look for an easy work." Will it be logic to establish a commission and to make all those people who weight more than 100 kg and sit in their offices work on a construction site? Or if a person is not married employ him as an unskilled worker, if he has a child - you're a secretary, the more children, the higher the position is. Or vice versa. Or if one is engineer by education, then he has to work as engineer, and do not dare be a chess player. And to adopt such laws and establish special commissions! To catch everyone and verify even those employed! Whether they rightly take their positions. Does it turn out that a young person has no right to choose where to live and what to do? (by the way, those who have the most cushy job got it by corruption. They have immunity! But the story is not about them!) Sometimes it seems that no matter what stupidity the government invents there will be people considering it wisdom.

It has always been actual. Unless Decree No. 3.

4. Beltelecom still flourishes without any doubt... but at the expense of high prices for the Internet and other services, monopoly and lack of competition. Not for long...

And the most awful thing is the "adoption of Decree No. 3 to every case!" This is the best ground for corruption! One can destroy friendship, family ties or take revenge, you're always welcome. Slaves standing near offices and officials who can decide upon further fate of a person by their own foolishness. It will take many efforts to deal with these "every case"!

And let's take a look at life of those who find the necessity of Decree No. 3. Sometimes points of view may change. The decree, nutty as a fruitcake, will surely be abolished. Or can it be left for its the most zealous supporters? Let's talk about it a year, six months or a few months later.
