Russia Introduces Border Control Of Aircraft And Passengers From Belarus

The technology of handling of passenger arriving from Belarus to Russia changes From 00:00 on May 15, 2017.

"All flights to Russian cities will be transferred from domestic terminals to international sectors of Russian airports. There will also be border control of aircraft and passengers that fly from Belarus and fly back to Belarus," – the press service of the National Airport "Minsk" reminds.

To pass the control citizens of Belarus and Russia need to show a document proving their identity, as well as a boarding pass confirming their arrival from Belarus or flight to Belarus by a corresponding flight. Citizens of the "union state" should pass control going through specially designated corridors.

Passengers traveling to Russia through the National Airport "Minsk" will have to show a document proving their identity, as well as a migration card, completed upon their arrival in Belarus. At the same time, it is noted that at the airport of Minsk the technology of handling of passengers, arriving from Russia, does not change and border control will not be implemented.

According to tut.by, last year Belavia transported 870,000 passengers between Russia and Belarus, of which almost 500,000 were transit passengers.
