Brest activist told about all everyday life on Akrestsina.

"We ate oatmeal and bread cutlets smelled of a spoiled meat, on Thursdays we found fish bones in those cutlets," Brest public activist Natallia Papkova told brestspring.com about her 15-day arrest.

Two days ago she left Minsk where she had served her punishment on Akrestsina.

"There was a red button in the prison ward to call guards. If a prisoner pressed it, he was punished: the matrass was taken away, the walk was denied. Therefore, prisoners knocked on the door then. Bunk beds we were sleeping on were made of metal strips, when mattresses were taken away it was not possible to sleep or sit there.

Mattresses were thin and stinky, the linen was not changed for 15 days. 4 times I wrote permission for a shower, but did not manage to take it.

The doctor was offended when she was reminded of the "Hippocratic oath", because there was a 45-year-old woman in the prison ward, she fell ill with "chickenpox" and was very scratchy.

On May 14 the prison ward for 4 people "welcomed" 8 more people. But on May 15 some left it. There were 6 people in the prison ward. 2 women slept on the floor without mattresses and linen..."

After homecoming, Natallia's sister told her that police officers were on day-and-night duty near their house from April 19 until May 1. It was lifted as soon as Natallia was detained on May 1.
