Governmental Policies Break Belarusians’ Hearts

Belarus has become one of the leaders in the rating of cardiovascular diseases.

Belarus has found itself on the sixth place with regard to the mortality due to cardiovascular diseases in the world, fraza.ua writes.

The former USSR republics alone make the top ten of the death toll of the diseases of heart and circulatory system.

Turkmenistan occupies the first place in this sad rating, followed by Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Belarus is the sixth, Russia is the ninth, according to WHO.

In the European countries, the percentage of deaths of cardiovascular diseases is twofold lower than in Ukraine or Belarus, in average.

Recently, the international team of physicians (2,3 thousand experts from 133 countries) estimated that about a third of all deaths in the world happen because of cardiovascular diseases. Among the countries with the highest mortality due to the said diseases are the states of Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East, South America, Black Africa and Oceania.
