Lukashenka's Protege In Vorsha As Mirror Of The Revolutionary Situation

This year, the dictator's "little homeland" said: "Basta!"

Dozens of "parliamentarians" from Minsk and local officials gathered in the Vorsha region – Vorsha hosts a visiting session of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers, Belsat reports.

However, the event of national importance was under threat last week, as the head of the Vorsha District Executive Committee disappeared. He was absent at work and didn't answer phone calls.

Siloviki intervened to clarify the situation

"By command, they broke into the house of the head of the district executive committee in order to get him, allegedly, for some unrighteous deeds. They broke in, started to clarify something; the new person came to work and they stamped him," – Lukashenka was outraged.

Actually, Lukashenka appointed the "new person" to manage Vorsha only recently – on May 12. But when Leanid Penkouski didn't appear in his office, rumors spread that he had gone on the booze to celebrate his appointment. Such happens to the representatives of the vertical. So recently, the main ideologist of Asipovichy, being in a state of intoxication, made a call informing on mining of the local KGB building and the Investigative Committee building.

The security forces obviously did not expect Lukashenka's anger

"Who gave them the right to break into the house to a person, whose appointment was approved by the president? After all, even if the law enforcement agencies want to take any investigative actions against a person in the personnel register of the president, they need to have the consent of the president," – the dictator expressed his anger.

The person from the register was actually found on the site of a new residence "in a sick state."

Despite the "weak health" of the appointee, Aliaksandr Lukashenka seems to be pinning big hopes on him.

This year, the dictator's "little homeland" said: "Basta!"

"If one percent of the population takes to streets, a revolutionary situation will develop. It has already developped in Vorsha, that's why, I think, an order was given to "raise Vorsha from ruins and ashes". And after there were personnel reshuffles which aim was to appoint their own people, who would "raise" Vorsha," – the local journalist Ihar Kazmerchak believes.

But can the official, who has not yet been noted for any notable achievements, "raise" Vorsha?

"All his achievements – spoke at the "All-Belarusian People's Assembly", was awarded the title "Honorary Worker of Agriculture" and was "the Man of the Year" of Vitsebsk region," – Kazmerchak adds.

Probably, such local leaders as Penkouski are worth their weight in gold: during the previous "presidential elections" he provided a fantastic, almost one hundred percent voter turnout in his district.
