Tower Crane Collapsed With Worker In Minsk

The crane collapsed onto the neighboring house when lifting a 100 kg weight.

At 9.45 on July 11, metropolitan rescuers received a message at the number 101 about the collapse of a tower crane on the Aeradromnaya Street in Minsk, the Emergencies Ministry said.

It turned out that the crane crashed onto the neighboring house under construction, when lifting reinforcement weighing about 100 kg. As a result of the crash from a height of 44 meters, the tower crane driver born in 1986 was injured.

Help of the rescuers was not required.

The ambulance brigade took the man suffering from severe injuries to the city hospital.

Emergency and restoration works are in progress at the site. The cause of the incident is being established.
