Belarus, Russia To Exchange Information On Foreigners

A working group has been set up in Belarus on the agreement on mutual recognition of visas with the Russian Federation.

The Prime Minister of Belarus set up a working group by his order, which should settle with the Russian side the issues related to the entry of foreigners to the territory of the CIS countries. The group was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Yauhen Shastakou, belmarket.by writes.

It is supposed to work with the Russian side, and this work should result in the negotiations of the text of the draft agreement on mutual recognition of visas. It is also planned to make the necessary changes to the agreement between the government of Belarus and the government of the Russian Federation on readmission of November 15, 2013, as well as the mechanism for mutual exchange of information with regard to persons who have received national visas, as well as the formation of data banks about such persons to organize their border-crossing.

The working group should report the results to the government by November 1, 2017.
