Bad weather in Belarus led to another collapse.

Throughout the whole evening and night, there were downpours, a strong wind and thunderstorms in Minsk and Brest, as well as in the regions, which led to flooding, falling of trees and blocking of public transport, the Emergencies Ministry reports.

According to the rescuers, the wind gusts reached 16 m / s. The roofs of 2 residential houses and 6 agricultural buildings were damaged in Baranavichy and Kletsk district villages.

A strong wind knocked down 15 trees in Brest region and 2 in Minsk, in one of the cases, a tree fell on a car.

The downpours led to flooding of 26 residential buildings, 19 private farmsteads and 3 administrative buildings in three districts of Brest region, six districts of Minsk region and the capital.

In Minsk, 14 road sections were flooded, because of the weather, the transportation was stopped: 37 trolleybus and 22 bus routes didn’t work from 25 minutes to 3 hours.

Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations evacuated 8 cars from the flooded areas.

According to the weather forecasters, in the periods from 15.34 to 20.08, 51.6 mm of precipitation fell near the Hantsevichy meteorological station in Brest region, from 21.00 to 01.30 – 52.00 mm near the meteorological station of Minsk.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there have been no victims. Employees of the Ministry for Emergency Situations and other organizations sawed the fallen trees and pumped out the water. Restoration work is under way.

According to the State Enterprise Belenerha, during the day, the power supply was periodically cut off in 283 settlements, 54 agricultural buildings and 1150 transformer substations on the territory of the republic. The cuts off were quickly eliminated by emergency teams. As of 06.00 on July 26, 37 settlements, 4 agricultural buildings and 234 transformer substations in Brest and Minsk regions were without electricity.
