Belarusian prisoners will make hockey ammunition.

Minsk Dynama school director Dzmitry Baskau, who recently joined the new leadership of the FHRB as deputy chairman for the development of children's and youth hockey, told Viachaslau Fiadorankau in a press release that he appreciates the idea of making ammunition by prisoners.

– Do you have to "chase the compass" in the role of the deputy chairman?

– Naturally, there is a general understanding of the state of affairs. Some additional touches were added by Aliaksandr Lukashenka's assignment to the players of the team to visit schools outside the capital, accumulate impressions and report. By the way, it was me, who reported at the meeting. Here, for the record, I cannot help recalling the recent Kaltsou's interview to Pressball. In my opinion, Kostsia went overboard a bit.

– Where exactly?

– He said that now young hockey players "are not needed by anyone". Yes, there are problems in schools, but do not hit straight from the shoulder. All the more, Kostsia has visited only one SDUShOR. At the time of his youth, there was only one such school in Belarus, only later another one appeared in Navapolatsk. Now there are twenty-five. And children go there for free – the state pays for the ice and coaches, in contrast to North America and Western Europe. Earlier, a kid, if he was not from Minsk or Navapolatsk, didn’ t have a chance to go in for hockey. Yes, the uniform is expensive. But here, by order of Lukashenka, the idea of cheapening has been found and even embodied. Ihar Shunevich has secured it.

– The manufacturing of ammunition by prisoners? It's not new: I remember that Naumau also suggested something similar. And it is doubtful...

– Those samples that were provided to us are virtually indistinguishable from branded, but much cheaper. It is clear that this is not an option for teenagers, but for groups of initial training – definitely. We will test them at the beginning of the season, take the gage of them. If they show themselves – than it’s quite a solution for massive involvement.
