Belarusian-Russian Exercises On Technical Assistance Of West-2017 Started

From 21 to 25 August, issues of refueling, repairing and evacuating of military equipment at the autumn maneuvers will be worked out.

On August 21-25, Belarusian and Russian military will hold exercises on logistics and technical support of the September maneuvers, the Belarusian Defense Ministry reports.

The joint strategic exercises West-2017 will be held at six military training ranges of Belarus on September 14-20, it is planned that 13,000 servicemen of the two countries will take part in it.

"On August 21-25, the military command and control agencies, formations, military units and logistics and technical support organizations of the armed forces of the two countries will hold joint preparation training," – the Belarusian Defense Ministry informed on Monday.

According to the military, the exercises are meant to master the technical coverage of transport facilities in some sections of the military highways, the evacuation, repair and restoration of defective equipment and weapons.

Also, the technique of deploying a field trunk pipeline and fueling stations for military equipment will be trained in practice.

We remind that the prevention rally demanding to abolish the West-2017 exercises will begin on Kastrychnitskaya Square in Minsk at 19.00 on September 8.
