Death-Sentence To ‘Lukonomy’ In One Picture

Over the past five years, the industry of Belarus has collapsed in all positions.

The National Statistical Committee of Belarus published a reference book "Industry of the Republic of Belarus. 2017 ", which shows the production of certain types of machinery and equipment, starting since 2011, Radio Liberty reports.

In most cases, there is a sharp decline in industrial production from 2011 to 2016:

The greatest decline was recorded in the production of combines: from 2011 to 2016 it fell by 84.8%, from 2326 to 353 units.

Motorcycle production: from 2011 to 2016 it fell by 83.5%, from 4,786 to 792 units.

The production of trolleybuses: from 2011 to 2016 it fell by 80.6%, from 206 to 40 units.

The production of trucks: from 2011 to 2016 fell by 74.7%, from 15910 to 4031 units.

The production of off-road vehicles: from 2011 to 2016 it fell by 68.8%, from 5199 to 1620 units.

The production of quarry dump trucks: from 2011 to 2016 it fell by 65.6%, from 1,444 to 493 units.

Bicycle production: from 2011 to 2016, it fell by 63.7%, from 176400 to 64100 units.

Engine production: from 2011 to 2016 it fell by 57.6%, from 106,700 to 45,200 units.

The production of tractors: from 2011 to 2016 it fell by 48.5%, from 66 803 to 34 405 units.

The production of buses: from 2011 to 2016 it fell by 39.1%, from 2162 to 1316 units.

The main reason for the decline in production is the sharp curtailment of the Russian market, which is in crisis, and the reduction of the domestic demand in Belarus.
