Aliaksandr Vianherski: I Will Surely Return To Belarus

The act of the fan-patriot was not dictated by the desire to advertise himself – it was a manifestation of a civil position.

Aliaksandr Vianherski, who ran onto the field with a white-red-white flag during the match of BATE Borisov against Arsenal, commented on the decision of the Vileika district court to Narodnaya Volya. Important to note, the court ordered the fan-patriot to pay 5 thousand euros to the Barysau team:

- That’s predictable. That's why I went abroad at the end of last year to work. I'm still not in Belarus, I need to earn 5 thousand euros. But, as I said, I do not intend to give the money to BATE, but transfer it to the orphanage on my own behalf. The Barysau club could at least say a word in defense of their fan, but they, apparently, have a different position. In this case, I have my own.

- What about the court decision?

- Again, I will not pay anything to the football club. Let them deduct the money from my salaries, or take it any other way ...

- Where do you work now, if not secret? What do you do?

- I prefer not to talk about the country that I’m in. I work as a driver, I travel around Europe. I earn something around 1200-1300 euros “clean” per month, so the necessary amount for an orphanage in a few months can easily be accumulated. I think that in 5-6 months it will be possible to do this if there are no difficulties with the work.

- After that, will you return to Belarus?

- Of course. When I read the forums and come across what they say, Aliaksandr Vianherski ran out with a white-red-white flag onto the football field just to advertise himself and go abroad, then it’s ridiculous. I do not intend to ask any political asylum. If there was such a desire, I could do it even earlier.
