In the rating of cleanliness of cities, Minsk has ranked 32nd out of 76 cities.

We compare Minsk and other cities of Europe in the new pollution rating.

In the rating of cleanliness of cities, Minsk ranks 32nd out of 76 cities. Since last year, it has dropped three positions and, according to the researchers, has become a bit dirtier, Salidarnasts reports, referring to the numbeo site.

But compared to other cities, the capital of Belarus looks good. For example, Kiev ranks 67th and is one of the most polluted capitals of Europe.

St. Petersburg and Moscow are on the 60th and 58th places respectively, and Warsaw is on the 43rd place.

Minsk is also cleaner than Naples (75th place), Krakow (69th place), Rome (66th place), Barcelona (65th place), Paris (64th place), Lviv (47 place), Kharkov (45th place) and Berlin (33rd place).

But all the capitals of the Baltic countries are considered cleaner: Vilnius – the 17th place, Riga – the 28th, and Tallinn – the 11th.

The five cleanest cities in Europe have not changed since last year. These are Helsinki (Finland), Reykjavik (Iceland), Zurich (Switzerland), Stockholm and Malmo (Sweden).
