Miasnikovich has come up with an idea where to waste the electricity from the Belarusian NPP.

They are going to focus mainly on the construction of housing with electric heating in Belarus. Chairman of the Council of the Republic Mikhail Miasnikovich said that at a meeting with the team of the OJSC MAPID on December 12, BelTA informs.

He proposed to use for heating the electricity from the Belarusian nuclear power plant. “The power supply will resolve the issues of heat supply, given the sufficient capacity of the nuclear power plant,” – Miasnikovich explained.

A month ago, at a meeting on the Belarusian energy sector, Aliaksandr Lukashenka asked himself what to do with the electricity that the Belarusian nuclear power plant would provide. He demanded from the government to develop “a clear and realistic plan for expanding the use of electricity in industry, agriculture, transport, IT-sector, utilities, everyday life and other areas.”

Speaking about his plan, Miasnikovich said that each apartment should have individual heating regulation. “There must be an individual active energy meter for each apartment, this will require appropriate wiring, etc. It will allow a person to regulate the heating not with a window, but with a special device and pay depending on how much he consumes electricity for household purposes and for heating needs” – he said.
