The Belarusian side did not have time to complete the internal procedures.
The heads of government of Belarus and Russia, Siarhei Rumas and Dmitry Medvedev, have not signed an agreement on the mutual recognition of visas, BelTA reports. Earlier it was announced that the agreement would be signed on December 13 at a meeting of the Council of Ministers of the “union state” of Belarus and Russia in Brest.
According to Siarhei Rumas, this agreement will be signed after the internal procedures are completed in Belarus.
“Today we have not signed the visa agreement. The Belarusian side didn’t have time to complete the internal procedures before the Council of Ministers meeting. I think that we will finish them soon and the agreement will be ready for signing,” – the Belarusian head of government explained.
