Shunevich About NKVD Uniform: No Regrets – Only Pride

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus is proud to be wearing the form of executioners.

Interior Minister Ihar Shunevich said in an interview to the ONT television channel that he does not feel regret wearing the NKVD uniform –the minister said that he feels only pride and no other feelings, nn.by writes.

“There is only one reason and rationale here – to pay tribute to history, the history of the department, the history of people, hundreds of thousands of whom performed feats, died, defended their homeland wearing this uniform, both during the Great Patriotic War and in difficult post-war times,” – Shunevich said.
