Henadz Fiadynich: State Automobile Inspection Commits Forgery

The leader of an independent trade union is ready to fight for the truth to the end.

On March 13, the leader of the REP trade union will challenge the decision of SAI in the court: Henadz Fiadynich was deprived of his driver's license for four years for a road traffic accident that he did not commit, praca-by.info informs.

On August 2, the office of the independent REP trade union was searched – so the so-called "Trade Union Case" began. And as soon as on August 4, Henadz Fiadynich, secretly from himself, became the perpetrator of a strange accident, as a result of which the leader of the REP trade union was deprived of his driving license for four years.

On August 4, Henadz Fiadynich parked his car and went out for cigarettes, leaving the car for a few minutes; after which he and his wife went to the dacha. In the evening, the traffic police called Fiadynich and informed that his car was "involved in an accident": he allegedly scratched a neighboring car in a parking lot.

After that, state bodies began to take procedural actions, which are difficult to explain logically. SAI issued a fine to Henadz Fiadynich; then they asked him to come and get another bill to pay the fine, "because we gave you the wrong ERIP number." When Henadz Fiadynich came to the traffic police office, he did not get "the right" bill as they handed him a decision to deprive him of his driver's license for four years instead.

The chairman of the independent trade union directly connects the seizure of his driver's license with his professional activities:

For twenty-five years of driving experience I have not committed a single accident! And then they accuse me of not only committing one, but also of leaving the accident scene. SAI committed forgery.

Henadz Fiadynich filed an application with the Investigative Committee demanding to initiate a criminal case against the traffic police for forgery of documents. Also there is a trial going on: the trade union leader acts as a plaintiff, challenging the SAI decision already at the court of cassation.

The court session will be held on Tuesday, March 13, in the Maskouski district court of Minsk. The beginning at 16:30.

– I'm not sure that I will be heard in court, – Henadz Fiadynich says. – But I am ready to bring this case to the end: forgery must be punished!
