Barysau Military Put On Standby

Another 2,000 people will be called up from the reserve.

On March 12, 2018, the formations of the Barysau garrison have been put on standby today, the Ministry of Defense reports. A scheduled inspection of the Armed Forces has started in Belarus, kp.by writes.

It is reported that in the course of the inspection and execution of all the defense activities, about two thousand Belarusians liable for military duty will be called up from the reserve.

In the course of the inspection, the main issues of the military combat readiness and everyday functioning of the army will be monitored. It’s planned to inspect various kinds of troops: the intelligence, missile troops and artillery, mechanized and air defense forces, aviation, military exercises with field firing will be held.

Particular attention will be given to the air forces and air defense forces, as they can cover the administrative and industrial areas and facilities of the country, prevent hijackers’ attacks.
