Public Prosecutor: Pechy Ensign Standing Trial In Barysau

According to the official, the case is already under the consideration in the Barysau district court, there has been no sentence in it yet. The ensign is standing trial not in the case of soldier Korzhych's death.

The man has been presented charges under Part 1 of Art. 430 (taking a bribe, again or by extortion), Art. 444 (insulting a subordinate by a commander in connection with the performance of military service duties), Part 1 of Art. 455 (abuse of power or official authority or inaction of the authorities), Part 2 of Art. 455 (excess of authority or duties, associated with violence), as well as Part 1 of Art. 14 and Part 2 of Art. 455 (attempt to abuse power or authority).

He noted that after the death of Korzhych the prosecutors had repeatedly visited Pechy.

— In autumn 2017, there had been not a single complaint, either written or oral, from conscripts, before this case. This is understandable, as they think — you have come and gone, and we will have to live here somehow, — Aleh Laurukhin contemplates.

The investigation into Korzhych's death is not over yet.
