The sanctioned festive rally and the concert will last till 5 p.m.

Public activists filed the application for a festive rally and a concert on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of the Belarusian People's Republic to the city executive committee back on March 3. The offer of the society was discussed on March 12 and 13. The dialogue resulted in the Hrodna city executive committee giving permission for the citizens to meet on March 25 to celebrate the holiday, writes Hrodna.life.

The hodiday's organizing committee, created by the opposition parties and civil society organizations, offers to mark the 100th anniversary of the BPR with a literary evening (March 23), a Belarusian dictation (March 24), a concert and rally (March 25). The latest event will be held in Kalozhski Park. Gathering of participants is scheduled for 13.00. The sanctioned festive rally and the concert will last till 5 p.m. All historical and national symbols are allowed.

In addition to the activities planned by the organizing committee, a series of events with the participation of representatives of the authorities are also planned in Hrodna for the 100th anniversary of the BPR. By March 25, exhibitions in museums and libraries will be opened, and the conference will be held in the Yanka Kupala University.

The city authorities give the Hrodna residents an opportunity to gather on the occasion of the Freedom Day for the second consecutive year. Prior to that, for 15 years the officials have denied the democratic forces in the conduct of demonstrations, processions and pickets, all of which are granted by the Constitution.
