Valiantsin Vialichka was the ambassador of Belarus to Ukraine for 15 years.
Diplomat, candidate of economic sciences Valiantsin Vialichka passed away at the age of 74, BelTA informs.
From 1968 to 1993 he worked in various positions in the Homel Regional Committee of the Komsomol, the Homel Regional Trade Union Council, the Savietki District Committee of the Homel Communist Party, the Homel Regional Executive Committee, the Council of the Association of Trade Unions of Homel Region.
He was among the first ambassadors of sovereign Belarus. In 1993-1997 he headed the Embassy of Belarus in Latvia, was accredited in Finland concurrently.
In 1997-1998 he held the post of Minister for the Affairs of the Commonwealth of Independent States of the Republic of Belarus.
From 1998 to 2001, he worked in senior positions in the Belarusian Foreign Ministry: Ambassador at Large, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
From 2001 to 2016 he was the ambassador of Belarus in Ukraine.
