New Decree To Affect Not Just 'Parasites', But Their Families

Belarusians who work abroad will be on the list of "parasites".

Labor migrants must return to their place of residence, write a statement and "confirm their status that they are legally working abroad." Only in this case the commission will exclude them from the list of unemployed in the economy.

About 1 million Belarusians are forced to work abroad. The website Charter97.org asked the Vitsebsk coordinator of the organizing committee for the creation of the "Belarusian Christian Democracy" party Tatsiana Seviarynets about the possible consequences of the updated decree on "parasites":

- The Vitsebsk region in which I live is the poorest. We have the poorest districts in Belarus. People just have to leave to work.

Families cannot live in any other way. And the fact that the state is going to put its "paw" in a pocket of the ordinary people who are forced to earn abroad is outrageous.

People risk their families, their lives (it's not a secret that Russia is a criminal country). If someone manages to earn in such conditions, then thank God. But our officials can not allow this.

The state once again proves that it is abnormal and exists for the ruling clique and the Lukashenka family.

The authorities are trying to humiliate us and prove that we are absolute nonentities. Instead of creating jobs, I emphasize - normal jobs, carrying out reforms and creating a competitive economy, officials are engaged in inventing such decrees.

I travel a lot around the country and the regions and all that I see caanot be subjecyed to any analysis. Everything is stolen, the scope of work is unlimited.

Lukashenka will see the people's reaction soon. After all, the decree will affect not only the parasites themselves but their families. And these are hundreds of thousands of people. The authorities deliberately bring Belarusians to the streets. Believe me, if you touch on the refrigerators of our citizens - the reaction will follow immediately.
