Minimum Wage Of Belarusians Contrasted With Neighbors’ Ones

We fare worse than all the other countries.

Since the new year, the minimum wage has grown on paper up to 330 rubles in Belarus. This is exactly four times less than the workers in Estonia will get. Tut.by has compared the payments in different countries.

The Ukrainian minimum wage caught up with the Belarusian one and even got ahead a little – by the ruble (all amounts have been transferred at the rate of the National Bank on January 4, then the hryvnia exchange rate was 7.9223 rubles), the Russian one – by 25 rubles. Latvia and Lithuania have one size of the minimum wage since the new year, and it is bigger than the Belarusian one by 736 rubles. Poland overtakes us by 966 rubles. The absolute leader is Estonia, here the difference is 1009 rubles.
