‘If My Cat Could Talk, He Would Speak Against Lukashenka’

Blogger Siarhei Piatrukhin addressed to Belarusians.
Belarusians decided to answer the words of Aliaksandr Lukashenka that it is up to them to decide whether he should run at the presidential election in 2020, the website of the Belsat television channel writes.
A joint video message was published by blogger Siarhei Piatrukhin on his Facebook page.
“I am against the nomination of Aliaksandr Lukashenka at the 2020 presidential election. As far as I know, this opinion is shared by all my relatives, people close to me. And I have a feeling that if my cat could talk, he would speak out against this, ”said Tatsiana Ihnatsyeva, one of the participants in the appeal.
In total, more than a dozen people participated in the video message recording, including Siarhei Piatrukhin himself and his colleague Aliaksandr Kabanau.
“Dear Mr. Lukashenka, I am opposed to having you run for president,” said one of the authors of the appeal, Aliaksei Ustyantsau.
On November 17, after voting at the polling station, Aliaksandr Lukashenka also spoke about his personal plans. He stated that he plans to go for a sixth term in 2020, and also mentioned the seventh in 2025.
