The famous Russian artist has spoken about censorship at the contest in Vitsebsk.

Famous Russian artist, humorist and showman Maksim Galkin spoke about his attitude to censorship.

- The last time I was at "Slavic Bazaar". They tried to limit me all the time in jokes about Lukashenka, but I did the exact opposite. I said whatever I wanted from the stage.

- Is it a matter of principle? Did it piss you off?

- No, it's not principal. It's... Well, it's like saying... It's like saying to a surgeon: "Let's do the surgery today, but we won't give you a scalpel today - take a fork."

I don't understand the fear that newcomers have. I was watching Nurlan Saburov (a Kazakhstani comedian). He said, "I am still afraid to play-act Nazarbayev". Come on?! What does it mean - "still"?! What are you waiting for?! Why do you do it then, if you cannot wisecrack? - Maksim Galkin said in an interview with Irina Shihman.
