Leanid Kulakou Arrested For 10 Days

The European Belarus activist will celebrate the New Year in Akrestsina.

European Belarus activist Leanid Kulakou has been sentenced to 10 days' arrest for participating in the rally against "deeper integration," which took place in Minsk on December 8.

A protocol under Part 1 Article 23.34 of the Administrative Code was drawn up against the activist. The sentence was delivered by Judge Leikouskaya, spring96.org reports.

Leanid Kulakou told human rights activists that after his detention, the policemen took him to the Partysanski district police department, where they drew up a report for participating in the rally against integration with Russia on December 20. Today, there supposed to be a trial for taking part in the rallies on December 7 and 8.

The European Belarus activist will celebrate the New Year in Akrestsina, just like the civil campaign leaders Yauhen Afnahel and Maksim Viniarski, and BCD co-chairman Pavel Seviarynets.
