Director General Of Minsk Gear Factory Detained

He is suspected of receiving a bribe of 20 thousand euros.

On Thursday, February 7, employees of the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained red-handed when receiving a bribe the general director of the Minsk Gear Factory. Tut.by reports about it with reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“A bribe from a representative of a foreign commercial structure in the amount of 20,000 euros was received by the general director of the Minsk Gears Factory in his office,” – the ministry informs.

They suspect that the money were offered for a favorable resolution of issues related to the fulfillment by the plant of its contractual obligations related to payments for the supplied technological equipment.

During the operational-search activities, it was found that the head of the company had repeatedly received bribes from representatives of commercial structures in 2018.

The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against the General Director of the Minsk Gear Factory under Part 3 of Art. 430 of the Criminal Code (receiving a bribe on a large scale by a person in a responsible position).
