He could be extradited to Russia.

Chairman of the Ingush regional branch of the Yabloko party Ruslan Mutsolgov told baj.by that the Ingush opposition blogger and journalist Ismail Nalgiyev was detained at the Minsk airport when leaving the country. Relatives fear that Nalgiyev will be handed over to the Russian authorities.

According to the politician, Ismail Nalgiyev is a blogger and journalist, one of the leaders of the protests in Ingushetia, who often faces political persecution. Ismail was supposed to fly from Minsk to Europe on May 8, but was detained at the border control due to the fact that he was allegedly on the Russian list of wanted persons.

Now Ismail Nalgiyev remains in the Department of Internal Affairs at the National Airport, the law enforcement officers are deciding on his fate.

The officer on duty at the Department of Internal Affairs assured the journalists that "without a properly executed procedure, Nalgiyev will not be extradited to Russia."
