Uladzimir Patapovich insists that his son was killed.

Uladzimir Patapovich, father of Mahiliou traffic police inspector Yauhen Patapovich, who mysteriously died on May 16, does not abandon his intention to seek exhumation of his son's body.

He said this to Svaboda after he had received another notification from the Investigative Committee on the investigation of his son's death. According to the department head, Ivan Naskevich, the policeman's suicide is still among the priority versions.

Uladzimir Patapovich does not believe in his son's suicide and insists that he was killed. He is not ready to link Yauhen's death with his professional activity.

Uladzimir Patapovich will insist on the exhumation when the results of forensic medical examination are available. He wants to see if there are any injuries in the inguinal part of the body. In addition, he noticed the damage on his son's beard, similar to a cut wound, and would like to know where it came from.

Uladzimir Patapovich speaks about the injury in the lower part of the body, referring to a photo from the Internet (from the NEXTA telegram channel).

"I made a mistake when I refused to participate in the body identification procedure and did not examine him in the morgue. At that time, it was reported that he had been murdered. Now they talk about suicide. I disagree with this, as I believe my son was killed," – Uladzimir Patapovich said.

A week ago, Uladzimir Patapovich said that he wanted to examine his son's body, but his ex-wife Volha was convinced that it was not worth doing for "ethical reasons, so as not to frighten with injuries on the body."

The IC does not remove the version of the policeman's suicide from the list of priorities. According to its chairman Ivan Naskevich, "a number of conclusions have been received in recent days, which strengthen the opinion that this is exactly what happened." The Investigative Committee head told journalists about the investigation into the death of the traffic police inspector on June 4.
