Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko has said that there are "hot versions" of the investigation into the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet.
Lutsenko said this on the third anniversary of the journalist's murder on his Facebook page.
"Yesterday (19 July - ed.), I heard another quarterly report by the head of the National Police and the head of the criminal investigation in the case of Sheremet's murder. Hundreds of people were questioned. Tens of thousands have been checked. Foreign specialists were involved. There are hot versions," the Prosecutor General said.
Earlier, on 20 July, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that he was waiting for a report from the Prosecutor General, the Interior Minister, the head of the National Police and the head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) on the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet.
At the same time, the investigators in the case of the journalist's murder claim that within the third year, the investigators questioned 200 people and have already reported on the progress of the investigation to Zelensky, which his office also reported.
