Worker Dies At BelNPP Construction Site

The emergency situation has been confirmed by the Astravets Investigatory Committee Department.

Another worker died at the construction of the Belarusian nuclear power plant near Astravets. This has been reported by the Telegram channel NEXTA.

The deceased is I. Bykhouski, an employee of a contracting construction organization. At the NPP, the man worked as a crane operator.

The accident has been confirmed to belsat.eu by the Astravets Investigatory Committee Department. However, the details and circumstances have not yet been reported.

Important to note, in July, during the construction works at the Astravets NPP, two workers were seriously injured. The 59-year-old and 23-year-old workers fell from a height as a result of a malfunction of an aerial platform.

“Information about the death of the crane operator at the BelNPP construction was fully confirmed. At the same time, our sources in the law-enforcement agencies tentatively believe that the worker died not as a result of an industrial injury, but because of a serious illness (well, what else, yes),” NEXTA later said.
