Of How Much Have BelNPP Builders Been Done Out?

Where's the guarantee that if they're not paid, they do their job well?

On August 15th, about several dozens of Russian workers from the BelNPP construction site came to the main square of Astravets with a demand to pay salaries for the last two months of their work, Euroradio reports.

It turned out that the employer had no money. The strikers said they'd come to Belarus for big money, promised by their employer. How much are workers paid for the construction of the Belarusian NPP?

The workers say they got a job through the Russian company Stroyinvestproekt. At the same time, another Russian company, Sesame JSC, is marked on the building site passes.

This company posted a series of vacancies on the local Astravets website on July 25. Here you can find the ones of welders, foremen, installers and engineers. Most of the vacancies promise a salary starting with 1000 rubles.

Other companies working at the BelNPP construction promise even higher salaries. JSC NIKIMT-Atomstroy offers an external pipeline installer, welder or head of department a salary of 1800 rubles.

The representative office of LLC Trust RosSEM, which is also engaged in the construction of the nuclear power plant, offers the chief engineer a salary of at least 1800 rubles.

It turns out that the builders are attracted by the promised large earnings at a seemingly serious status object, and in the end they are not paid their salaries for several months. And if workers employed at such an important facility are not paid their salaries for several months, where is the guarantee that they do their work properly?
