A participant in the Marches of Pensioners honestly talked about why she was taking action.

A woman who goes to the Marches of Pensioners has told the “Basta!” Telegram channel why she does it:

- In the days of developed socialism there were elections, but there was no choice. Then came perestroika and glasnost. There were elections again, but there was no choice. Then independence - and there were elections, and there was a choice.

Then we all hoped that now, after so many years, we will finally have real elections, but our hope and choice have been stolen. Now I go to the March of Pensioners, because I want to leave one thing to my grandchildren: the right to choose, and not a decent pension for myself.

For myself, I want one thing - to have time to live in a democratic society. I have no time to delay this period any longer, so I go to the protests with only one thought and goal: to give my grandchildren the right to choose.
