Minsk Tarpeda Stopped Playing in the City Championship in Protest

The football club supported Alena Leuchanka and Aliaksandra Herasimenia.

Minsk Tarpeda stopped playing in the city championship. This is stated in Tarpeda's statement.

"We cannot and must not put up with the lawlessness that is going on around us: baiting of the swimming school of Aliaksandra Herasimenia, 15-days arrest of Alena Leuchanka in a falsified case, disqualification of the handball club Vitsiaz-Leon for expressing their civil position, threats against other signatories of the athletes' petition; this is shame and disgrace of those who made such decisions.

We are proud of all athletes who deal with the pressure with dignity, do not give up their positions, and do not betray their principles.

We thank our opponents for all the matches and encourage others to join the campaign of sports and civil solidarity.

We believe that the next championships in all sports will be held in Belarus exclusively on the principles of Fair-Play," Tarpeda reports.
