BNTU Professors Organized a Protest Flash Mob for Tarakan's Arrival

People with advanced degrees have published their salaries.

The Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) celebrates its 100th anniversary on December 10. This university is even older than BSU - it appeared a year later, in 1921. In this regard, Tarakan visited BNTU today.

In honor of the "holiday," as the BNTU professors themselves write in quotation marks, they decided to show their calculation sheets to the editorial office of tut.by.

Let's note right away that salaries, to put it mildly, do not reach the average salary in Minsk.

What constitutes a professor's salary

The main part of the wages is salary. Additionally, an amount of 5% of the salary - a bonus - is paid. There are also different sizes of allowances:

for high achievements in work;

per contract;

for the specifics of the work;

for experience;

for the nature of work.

The most significant of them are for the contract and the specifics of the work, as well as high achievements in labor in total.

Contributions to the Social Security Fund and income tax, as well as trade union dues, are withheld from wages. For some women, there is a write-off to the Belarusian Union of Women.

Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Vadzim Hrynieu worked at BNTU for eight years; before that, he worked for 2 years at Polatsk State University. The a professor's work was estimated at 548.87 rubles and an advance payment - 499.90 rubles. That is, even less than 1200 rubles (387 euros at the rate of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus on December 9).

Associate Professor Siarhei Ihnatau has been working at the university at a 0.5 rate for 12 years. He showed his pay sheets for April and May this year. In April, payments amounted to 190 and 197.62 rubles. In May - 213.45 and 174.17 rubles. The professor is listed at the Department of Geotechnics and Structural Mechanics.

BNTU graduate Yury Huminski entered the postgraduate course in 2012; after graduation, he stayed at the Department of Machines and Foundry Technology. He is now a senior lecturer. In October, Yury received 351.69 rubles and an advance payment of 323.74 rubles.

Senior lecturer at the Department of Building Structures Siarhei Kaleda received 328.14 rubles in his hands, excluding the advance payment. It amounted to another 299.28 rubles. Siarhei has been at the university since 2009.

Volha Arabei, a mathematics professor at the Department of Natural Science and Creative Disciplines, received 572.37 rubles in her hands, working at 0.75 wages. She has been working at the university for 3 years, and Volha's general experience is 7 years.

Aliaksandr Shybeka has been teaching since 2011. An employee of the department "Heat and gas supply and ventilation" received a "clean" salary of 719.61 rubles for his work in October.

Senior lecturer of the Department of Software of Information Systems and Technologies Liudmila Naskova works on a payroll. In October 2020, she received 610.13 rubles in her hands. Liudmila was a student of the 1st batch who graduated from her department, received a red diploma, and stayed to work at her native university. For 30 years of service to it, she completed her postgraduate studies, published two textbooks at the publishing house "Peter."
