The new rule will remain in effect until the end of 2021.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has published a decree according to which the period of temporary stay of Belarusian citizens in the country is increased.

The Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1302 of December 23 says that citizens of the Republic of Belarus who have arrived in Ukraine legally can temporarily stay on its territory for no more than 180 days within 365 days. The procedure for calculating the specified period is established by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Previously, this period was limited to 90 days within six months.

The new rule will remain in effect until the end of 2021.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as of October 21, about 3 thousand Belarusians left for Ukraine since the beginning of autumn. For comparison, 1,890 people left for Ukraine for the entire last year, according to Belstat.
