The questions and demands to the Belarusian government.

The whole world is alarmed by the coronavirus pandemic. The mortality rate in older age groups reaches 30-45% among those who fell ill. In the absence of vaccines and effective drugs, the World Health Organization considers quarantine measures as the main means to combat the pandemic, one of the leaders of the Belarusian National Congress, Mikalai Statkevich, writes on Facebook.

Neighboring democratic countries introduce quarantines everywhere - they limit international communication, close cultural institutions, universities, schools and kindergartens. Mass events are forbidden, sports competitions are held without spectators.

The behavior of the Belarusian authorities strikingly contrasts with these measures. As the "kind of president" once promised, we do not follow the civilized world.

The international communication is not being limited, and there is no even symbolic anti-epidemiological control on the eastern border. The sports events are held with the participation of spectators. The educational institutions, even BNTU, where the coronavirus has been found, continue to work.

Yes, young people and especially children, fortunately, tolerate the infection easier. They may not even notice it. But they bring the coronavirus to their families.

Doesn't that make sense to our officials? Why do our authorities behave so spitefully in relation to the pandemic? Or do we have a special breed of people that is resistant to viral diseases? We remember, however, how much mortality from "usual" pneumonia increased during the swine flu epidemic. Contrary the official statistical well-being.

And now we're told that only a dozen people got sick. But let me ask you, are you telling the truth now? And how many people have been tested for coronavirus? Hundreds of thousands, like in Italy? Thousands? Or hundreds?

We have already heard that the authorities have warned the heads of medical institutions about the criminal responsibility for disseminating information about coronavirus, "so as not to spread panic and not to destabilize the situation in the country".

So, you want to turn Belarus into a ground for testing the virus in natural conditions - with minimal prevention and lack of treatment?

You don't care about the people. You're used to lying to us, hiding the true scale of the problems. After all, you have someone to follow when a pathological liar has been in power for decades. However, because of your lies, the problems become even more serious.

I demand an immediate answer to my questions. They concern everyone in our country. I want you not to equivocate when there is danger for every Belarusian family, but to take broad quarantine and other organizational measures to save people. Do not lie to the people who dole out money to you.
