A Belarusian man offered to look at the problem called “Lukashenka” from the point of view of the whole people.
We all need to understand that the resources and capabilities of the current power have long been exhausted and, if nothing is changed, it will only get worse. A reader has told so to the “Basta!” Telegram channel.
“I remember back in 1994, when I heard promises from the screen of a lamp black-and-white TV that each house would have two refrigerators and a TV set,” the reader writes. “We were able to buy the first Vityaz TV set in 2004, and only because we had been saving for a few months. Two years later it broke down. Then there was another Vityaz, which also went into a better world. As a result, in 2014, after saving for a long time, we bought a TV from a foreign manufacturer, which still works and serves faithfully.
Until 2012, we had a Minsk 15M refrigerator, bought back in Soviet times. As for the Atlant fridges, produced today, shop sellers do not recommend buying them. “Better take Chinese fridges,” they say. So, we have reached the point when the plant, which has been operating since the Soviet era, is making worse and worse production every day.
Cars are a different story altogether. Can an ordinary Belarusian afford a Geely atlas today? My salary and disability allowance would not even let me buy it with a loan.
In my reflections, I have not yet touched on more global problems: MAZ, MTZ, woodworking, “free medicine” that exists only on paper, “free domestically produced medicines” for people with disabilities, the effectiveness of which doctors and pharmacy sellers doubt.
I spoke only about those few points that concern me personally. What if we look at the problem of Lukashenka’s activities from the point of view of the entire people? We all need to understand that the resources and capabilities of the current power have long been exhausted and in future, if nothing is changed, it will only get worse!”
