People's Deputy of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharenko addressed the Belarusians:

"Dear brothers Belarusians!

We have centuries of common history and neighbourhood. In the coming days, you will have the chance to win back your freedom and true independence. Millions of Ukrainians keep their fingers crossed for you. Belarus should become a truly European, free and democratic state.

Raze these prison walls to the ground!

Long for freedom - take it!

Ukraine is with you! Ukraine supports you! Together we will win! See you in free Minsk!"

It will be recalled that Oleksiy Honcharenko has recently headed the association "For Democratic Belarus" in the Ukrainian parliament.

In an interview with Charter97.org - Change of Power program - a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine said that the Belarusian society had brought up a protest potential sufficient to overthrow the dictatorship.
