Charles Michel: We Are United In Support Of Belarusian People

This was stated by President of the European Council at the summit of the Eastern Partnership.

Speaking at the summit of the Eastern Partnership today, President of the European Council Charles Michel remembered Belarus, reports Radio Svaboda.

"We are missing a country that does not exist today. The empty space is a symbolic place for Belarus. A few days ago, along with the EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, I met with representatives of the Belarusian democratic opposition. I heard about their struggle first-hand and I saw their courage.

We are united in our support for the Belarusian people and their aspiration for a democratic future".
