Viachaslau Harbuzau was born in Pruzhany. In 2003, he graduated with honors from the historical faculty of the Brest University named after Pushkin.
He worked in the BRSM (2002-2009), in various positions in the Brest Regional Executive Committee, including in the Department of Culture (2009-2017).
Since December 2017, he has been general director of the Brest Drama Theater.
Prior to Harbuzau, the general directors of the theater were Uladzimir Hrydziushka (2009-2019) and Aliaksandr Piatrovich (2019-2021).
Aliaksandr Piatrovich served as general director for only two years. He fired head concertmaster Rehina Sarkisava, opera singer Illia Silchukou and conductor Andrei Halanau, violinist Alla Dzhyhan, and violist Aliaksandra Patsiomina. Also, two days after his appointment, the theater's chief conductor, Viachaslau Volich, was fired.
